mr. independence

I'm a rather independent guy and to most things you'll usually find me saying, "I try!" including getting dressed this a.m.

I thought I looked pretty swell. and I'm not about to have my mom fix my cool look.

happy birthday dad

Today is my dad's birthday, so mom thought we should send him a video to wish him a happy birthday. I thought otherwise. I'd rather just wrestle when he gets home.

Como Zoo

Dad's out of town for a couple of days so mom and I made a trip into the cities to go to Como Zoo, buy a new car seat for my little brother/monkey and see some friends. We had a great time. The monkeys, lions and giraffes were my favorite.

We went into the butterfly exhibit. It was really cool - there were butterflies everywhere and they even landed on you!

Hola de Mexico!

Daddy came back from his trip from Mexico late last night. It's great to have him home. He brought me back a cool soccer jersery (Bimbo is a popular bread co.) I love shakin' my maracas.

Dad knows the way to my heart. He brought me back a caden size guitar and it hasn't hardly left my side since I got it & I love singing and posing in front of the camera with it! Thanks Dad (we're glad to have you back too.)

The Farm & Phelps Mill fun!

This past week my dad was on a missions trip with the youth group in Mexico, so mom and I headed up north for awhile. I had lots of fun at the farm and with G & G Folkestad. I got to play around on the farm, cheer on my Uncle Bob at Relay for Life, go on a four-wheeler ride to hang trail cameras, go to the Menahga Parade & go to Phelps Mill! It was a busy, but very fun week.

At Phelps, I got to be in my very first turtle race! I loved checking out the tortoise and all of the turtles.

Before the big turtle races got started, we watched the tortoise and the hare race! The rabbit never moved and the tortoise slowly, but surely made his way to the finish line.

At Phelps I also got to paint my first pet rock and get a caricature.

Get ready, get set, go!

My first turtle I picked out was just my size. He was cute and little; however he wasn't very ambitious. He didn't want to move, so I thought I would push him around just like I push my big trucks! Pokey, my little turtle never moved the whole race. It was a good thing we could race again!

My second race, I picked out a really speedy turtle....there he is dashing towards the finish line!

Speedy and I won first place!

and $1.00 in prize money! It was lots of fun!
