not quite the weekend I had in mind

not exactly as planned

(I'm the blurry one curled up with my mom on the end)

So I was really excited about going to BSC. I made a big deal about how I was going to post all of these pictures from our fabulous weekend at our most favorite camp in the world. and what happens on monday....nothing. Well Friday was fun, my friends Elliana and Hope came over to play for the day before we left; they wore me out. I slept the whole 2 1/2 hour car ride and was ready to go Friday night for lots of fun. But by saturday a.m. I wasn't feeling so swell and I couldn't keep any food down. I wore lots of food and my mom wore even more of my food. I felt great other than my tummy. I spent the entire day inside cuddling with my mom trying to keep some fluids in me. We went through lots of clothes and blankets. We left early sunday a.m. so that we could talk to a nurse and see what to do since I was starting to get pretty dehydrated...mom and dad let me drink a little pedialyte at a time and slowly I was able to keep some of that down. Lots of tears later and a couple of dirty diapers later I'm feeling pretty good again. I had another little throw-up episode last night, so we're taking it easy again today. Even though I didn't get to do much at BSC, it was still fun hanging out. We're going back this summer for a week and this time I'll be ready for lots of fun!

My re-inacted sled ride, minus all of the winter gear. I liked the one sled ride I took at least.

So my dad's kind of a goofy guy and to make it worse he wore an embarrassing outfit tubing. But what makes it even worse than that is that there was another guy who thought he'd wear the same bad mis-matched outfit too! Trust us, this wasn't planned.

Off to BSC

Later this afternoon we're off to Big Sandy Camp for family camp --- I'm way excited. Last summer I got to cruise the camp in my stroller, this time I'm taking my fancy new red sled. Check back monday for some highlights of our good times at BSC! Have a great weekend everyone. I know I will.

shake, rattle and roll

Today we had a big earthquake at our house. My parents captured it out on video so you could see. (or maybe they are testing out a new feature on the camera while I jumped around in my hop-n-pop and are testing to see how the video works on my blog. Earthquake or video test, you decide).

Birds!

The birds were not afraid today. They came right up to the bird feeder that's hanging just outside the kitchen window. We had lots of blue jays, cardinals and chickadee's. It was pretty neat. We didn't even have to zoom in to get the picture.

more mushy, squishy good times

I love food and it's even more fun when you can squish it and play with it. This morning I got to play with and eventually eat part of a banana rolled in rice krispies. It was messy good fun and tasty too!

mmmm..mushy banana

so for breakfast this a.m. my mom gave me part of a banana to squish and play with. It was fun getting all messy and slimy.

I was keeping clean until I got a little tired, I just had to rub my eyes. Now I'm going to go take a nap and my mom's going to go clean up!

Rub-a-dub-dub

Peek-a-boo I see you!

For christmas I got a cool new elephant towel from my cousin Nicole. I love it. I have some growing to do to fill it out, but it keeps me cozy after my bath!

I love singing to my rubber ducky!

Traveling man

This past weekend my parents headed out for a youth conference w/ a bunch of kids from youth group to the wisconsin dells (yep that's right my mom left too, for the very first time...we were both a little unsure about it at first, but by the end we were both doing good). My grandma and grandpa folkestad came down to take care of me and we had lots of fun. They even brought my tractor that they got me for christmas. I really like it a lot! It even came equipped with a cell phone that I like to chew on.

Me driving my fancy new wheels (actually i can't get very far yet, I can't quite touch the floor yet, but it won't be long) .

I like bonking my head on the horn and licking it -- when I do the horn keeps beeping and my legs hit the other vegetable and animal buttons. It's loads of fun.

Fun with Friends and some other gross but good news.

Wednesday my friend's regular babysitter was sick so
William came to play for the day. He just turned one year old. We had lots of fun playing with toys. He cried a lot when he first came; I couldn't figure out what the big deal was at first. but later on we teamed up - when one of us cried the other one chimed in. We didn't want each other to feel left out.

Fun with toys!

So this news might be a little grody for you, but my parents were oddly excited. It's a little embarrassing, but I haven't had a dirty diaper in the last 3 days (hey, I'm a baby, what can I say - poop is a big deal). So lots of fruits, veggies and 2 jars of prunes later I finally did it - I pooped. I managed to fill 2 diapers and my onsie while my mom was changing me. I'm definately ready for some play time again. and well...my mom's going to do some laundry!

I don't get this crawling thing

My parents really want me to start crawling. I am doing everything that I can to actually crawl, but for some reason, I don't think this is how I should be doing it. I arch my back as much as possible to wiggle across the floor. Some day I will figure it out and my parents will be wishing I was still doing it this way. At least they can keep up with me like this :)

Hope everyone had a great new year!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! My 2008 resolutions include: eating more veggies; taking longer naps, learning how to use a sippy cup, walking and maybe learning a few words. It should be an eventful year!

Christmas was so much fun this year; I was wiped out from my week of traveling. I slept hard when I got home! Thank you so much for all of the really cool gifts from everyone and for all the hugs and great play time too!

I hope 2008 is a great year for you - I know I have lots planned to see and do!

Christmas with the Folkestad's

my anut and uncle brought my this cool hawaiian shirt and shorts back from their trip to hawaii - they're pretty spiffy. I even opened all of my gifts in my new snazzy shorts!

My cousin carly is an all-star at bowling on the Wii

Here's carly's winning score: she beat her dad and grandma at bowling!

Carly is a good boxer too!

Even more of my 1st Christmas

I was playing with my grandpa on the floor and taylor thought she should join in the fun.

The tissue paper was my favorite part of opening presents & I really liked the bows too. I cried when my mom took my wrapping paper and bows away, until I discovered that there was an even better toy inside!

this is my cousin Addison; I think she's pretty neat.
